I’m just about to finish David Oppegaard’s debut novel The Suicide Collectors. It’s an enjoyable pulpy sci-fi thing about a post-apocalyptic America. The population has died off from a mysterious virus that makes people commit suicide. Two men travel from Florida to the last refuge in Seattle, while fending off the Fascist, black cloaked squad of suicide collectors.
It’s good. But I’m almost done and despite having a book queue of half-a-dozen or so books, I’ve made the decision to tackle two science related tomes.
