Clusterflock’s “From the Comments” Book

Deron, over at Clusterflock, has put together this beautiful book, which is a collection of the site’s “from the comments” posts.  Anyone who has ever spent time at the Flock knows that it’s the comments that keep people coming back.

By far, it’s the best dinner party/kegger you’ll ever go to on the internet.  Good people over there.  I mean that.

“The books are hand-made, and I have to say, I’m pretty pleased with how they turned out. It’s been a while since I made a book, and I quickly remembered the details and decisions and labor involved, but the truth is, I love it, the process, the final product. I think it turned out well,” Deron writes.

Yes, Deron, the books turned out strikingly well.

It’s also an interesting method for turning a blog into a book.  Not by focusing on the content, but by focusing on the discussions, the arguments, the funny anecdotes, the stories, the camaraderie!  It’s taking the essence of a blog and turning it into something physical.  I’m in awe at the moment.

Truly.  It’s the one thing I wished the Sly Oyster had.  You can pick one up for $20.
