Here’s the evolution of DC Comics’ logo, with the current logo (lower right corner) designed by Josh Beatman of Brainchild Studio in 2005.
The most recent two logos are pretty good. There’s a strong brand identity to them that suggests a certain playful sense of adventure. Now, according to Bleeding Cool, DC Comics and DC Entertainment are getting a new logo.
And it’s? It’s? I dunno. Seems like they’re positioning the company to compete with 3M in the adhesive industry.
What’s most depressing about this re-branding, aside from everything, is there’s no continuity to the logos of DC Comics past.
