It’s not such a dirty word anymore. From Design Taxi:
“Flowtown did up this flowchart that, like the one preceding it, documents the roots of the modern-day blogger, which, as the image will argue, comprises many themes and forms. From the food blogger to the technology one to even the spam bot ‘blogger’, each stereotype is dissected.”
The graphic even attempts to predict the future of blogging: “The next generation of bloggers is believed to be micro-blogging bloggers. These bloggers, mostly seen on Twitter, have taken what old bloggers would say in 12,000 words and condensed it down to 140 characters of emotion.” Yes and no, I say. Bloggers will continue to be curators, to sift through the noise and find relevant information, how they will continue to do that is anybody’s guess.
