Popular Old Spice Ads Make Old Spice Less Popular

Lindsay Robertson tries to understand why sales of Old Spice have dropped 7% since the campaign started.  Among the few reasons she notes, this is the important one: “Procter and Gamble can try to sex-ify the Old Spice brand any way they want, but a lot of us are still going to forever associate it with our fathers (and grandfathers) and stay as far away as possible. It doesn’t help that it actually has “Old” in the name! Gross.”  Still, Old Spice antiperspirant/deodorant is the only way to go.
