Subway Street Art Gallery

The Underbelly Project is a secret art gallery located in an abandoned NYC subway station created by a series of artists over a period of a year.  Not much is known about it, but the project is getting some serious press with both the New York Times, Gothamist (which has a huge spread of photos of the gallery) and The Street Spot has more on the project.

It strikes me as beautiful that a bunch of artists would great a gallery and works of art that the general public can’t see, except those willing to prowl the urban space of abandoned subway lines.
