Oscar-winning actor William Hurt is stepping into the shoes of General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, father to Betty Ross, nemesis to Dr. Bruce Banner. He joins an already impressive cast for Marvel’s The Incredible Hulk; as Ed Norton is Banner, Liv Tyler is playing Betty and Tim Roth is taking the reigns of villian Emil Bronsky, aka The Abomination.
That’s a pretty sick cast for a movie that’s being described as a sequel/reimagining/do over. It also marks William Hurt’s return to a comic book movie after his Academy-nominated performance in David Cronenberg’s A History of Violence. That movie was slightly askew but totally awesome.
