It was one of the most talked about movies on the festival circuit this year for both it’s audacity, it’s length, and the fact that it had trouble getting picked up. Hard to believe coming from a Steve Soderbergh flick, especially one starring Benicio del Toro about the life of Ernesto “Che” Guevara.
But apparently movies about South America Marxist revolutionaries fighting in Cuba would be too difficult to market for a studio. Whatever. Sign me up I’m there. I love movies that dare to be a spectacle. That dare to rise about the mucky-muck. That aren’t afraid of being special.
