To get fans primed for next summer’s ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’, the team at 20th Century Fox launched a website celebrating 50 years of Trask Industries. It’s also possible they did this because nobody can understand what the hell is going on with the time travel plot and how it potentially bridges the old and new X-Men movie franchise.
Anyway, Trask Industries, for those unaware, is a weapons and technology company founded by Bolivar Trask (played by Peter “Effin” Dinklage) that ends up building the giant mutant-killing robots known as the Sentinels.
I much prefer the recent trend of world-building advertising extras instead of viral easter egg hunt advertising.
Update: Here’s a first look at the infamous Sentinels. That’s director Bryan Singer in the photo. Looks okay, hard to tell if it will work on film at this point, but I’m just glad the Sentinels are semi-giant robots. [via mashable]
