Christopher Nolan’s next movie is called Interstellar. It’s about space travel. It comes out a year from today. It stars Matthew McConaughey.
That’s about all this trailer reveals, but we couldn’t be more excited to see what Nolan brings to the space exploration genre, due mostly to how this trailer pays homage to humankind’s history of exploration — Chuck Yeager, Gemini 6, Apollo 11, to name a few.
The movie, about a group of explorers making use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage, also stars Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine (obviously), Casey Affleck, and slew of other exceptional performers.
If you aren’t a little excited for this based off the teaser than you’ve never dreamed of the sky and the stars billions of miles away. Side note: why hasn’t McConaughey narrated any documentaries. He’s got that timbre, man. [Via Variety]
