John and Paul Reconsidered

Joshua Shenk explores the collaborative musical relationship, nay, the creative rivalry between that of John Lennon and Paul McCartney in a new series for Slate about creative partnerships.

My only complaint, as a Beatles nut, is that it doesn’t contain more George.  At some point people are going to recognize that thinking, talking, pondering the dynamic between John and Paul is just tiresome and that George was vastly superior to them both.

All that aside, this could be a promising series from Shenk.
