Bell Biv Devoe Reunite on Late Night

Well ain’t this a slow stroll down middle school lane. Bell Biv Devoe, who along with Boyz II Men and ABC (Another Bad Creation), provided the soundtrack for every seventh grade make out sesh in 1992, swung by Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night on Wednesday to play both of their big hits — “Poison” and “Do Me.” And yes, I still remember every single word.

The Philly group teamed up with that other Philly group, The Roots, to deliver a little of that East Coast new jack swing. I forgot how damn good the drum break in “Poison” is and ?uestlove hits it out of the fucking park.

“Do Me”

Now, if Jimmy Fallon just decides to have a 90s R&B week or hip-hop or what not, I would be on board. Maybe a little Jodeci, Silk, Dru Hill, Arrested Development, Black Sheep, Digible Planets, etc.
