“These are our critics’ picks (unranked!) for the most extraordinary English-language pop recordings since the beginning of TIME Magazine in 1923 — songs of enduring beauty, power and inventiveness.”
The good: the list is broken down into decades with about 10 songs representing each, so none of that Rolling Stone bullshit with an overabundance of bad 60s and 70s bands.
The bad: it’s a slideshow and you have to click through 100 slides to see the damn thing.
The gooder: Most of the songs selected are excellent choices. Hard to quibble, really.
The badder: Still a fucking slideshow.
