From commenter Macon, that the more interesting aspect to this story is not the find itself, but the way in which the Aztecs were buried. The burial site shows characteristics of both an Aztec and Christian burial.

While many are theorizing as to when and how this happened, no one seems to be talking about the deliberate nature to which they were buried. Or possibly the melding of cultures that took place.
