Who knows whether Google+ will be the latest Google product people embrace or one that just fizzles. It’s certainly the most un-Google-like project the company has ever rolled out, so that’s a start. It’s also decidedly different looking than say, what Facebook offers people.

So that’s also good.

Steven Levy’s look at the creation of Google+ for Wired is fairly compelling and often revealing about how this project fits into Google’s future strategies as a company.
