There isn’t much to this development, but for any fan of Joss Whedon, it would serve him well to never work with Fox again and jump to a network with some creative energy, ie, FX, Showtime, HBO or AMC. So the news that he’s taking meetings with FX president John Landgraf is a welcome sigh of relief.
“And I have enormous respect for him,” Landgraf told reporters. “And by the way, if you look at Shawn Ryan who created ‘The Shield’ and is running ‘Terriers,’ Shawn learned at the feet of Joss Whedon, the Joss Whedon school. And Carlton Cuse by the way, as well. So I don’t really know Joss, but I’m really looking forward to meeting him. I love his stuff.”
It’s encouraging to think of the potential a Joss Whedon show could have at FX, with studio execs that will back his project.
