There isn’t anything terribly new in this LA Times article about Hulu, but it’s a nice reminder that the service it out fighting the good fight to rid the world of cable television.
This summer, Hulu’s exclusive rights to distribute ABC, Fox and NBC programming online begin to expire. The media companies have been dragging their feet on renewals until they resolve the questions surrounding the next iteration of Hulu.
What’s baffling is how ABC, NBC and FOX continually act like they don’t own Hulu? They seem more threatened by pissing off cable providers than they do pushing ahead to the future of television distribution.
