Rainbow Pancakes

This seems like a ton of work just to eat food coloring, no? [via cultso]

True story: If I had to compete in a gluttony bowl, an event where every contestant could pick one food to eat and then had to out eat everyone else (yes, this is a made up event in my head), I would choose chicken caesar salad as my dish. No matter how much caesar salad [...]

Apple jelly on grilled cheese? Sounds insane, but also crazy delicious. I’d adjust this to have apple butter and cheddar cheese, which harkens back to the way apple pie was made in colonial times. BTW, this video is part of a series from Whitney Adams of Brunellos Have More Fun and Claire Thomas of The [...]

A Glass of Sicily

by James Furbush on October 13, 2011 · 0 comments

“A Glass of Sicily” is a beautiful tour of Sicily told through a glass of Tasca d’Almerita. Sure, it’s essentially an ad for the winery and Sicily, but try to tell me you aren’t on the first plane to Italy after watching this video. Related: Pasta alla carbonara (usually spaghetti, but also fettuccine, rigatoni or [...]

Here’s the recipe courtesy of Foodbeast. This seems like the best way to get your fall drunk on. Can’t wait to dig out the corduroys, sweaters and scarves and do this up. The recipe, however, calls for rum, but I would swap that out for some bourbon.

Dinner Party Matrix

The Dinner Party Matrix from Mark Bittman is a a mini-cookbook featuring 48 recipes to assist with a stress-free party. Using roughly the same technique, you can make butternut-squash soup, for example, taste as if it came [...]

The Kitchy Kitchen has a recipe for something called S’Meaches which are basically smores combined with peaches! And here I thought that adding peanut butter to a smore was the best it could get. This looks astounding. Hit the jump to see a video of the s’meache and let us know what you think.

It’s hard to find fault with Dino’s classic burger recipe. Despite using a frying pan and not a grill, Martin is pretty much spot on with his burger recipe. Good ground beef doesn’t need much more than a bit of salt and pepper. Somewhere out there, Ron Swanson is smiling. And yes, probably everyone who [...]

1. Seattle Weekly came up with a day of recipes for eating Ramen Noodles morning, noon and night. Many of the recipes seem fairly simple and could be gussied up if you were looking to eat a bit fancier. 2. Urban Outfitters sells Ramen Noodles. Yeah, seriously. Apparently, they sell them for $5 a bag, [...]

Eater recreated the Ron Swanson turkey burger from last week’s Parks and Recreation: “When asked if he had ever eaten a turkey burger on last week’s episode of Parks and Recreation, our hero Ron Swanson replied: ‘Is that a fried turkey leg inside a grilled hamburger? If so, yes. Delicious.’ And because we believe everything Ron Swanson says, we [...]
